Frequently asked questions

Automatic recording by location doesn't detect me.

In iOS Settings → Toki → Location, "Always" and "Precise Location" must be on. Toki shows both under More → Automatic by location → Status. iOS often reports arriving and leaving a few minutes late; a larger radius (for example 200 m) helps inside buildings.

Why is a day marked as uncertain?

Toki flags automatic entries that look unusual: end missing, past midnight, over 12 hours, very early or very late, weekend or public holiday. Tap the day and confirm with "Looks right" or correct the times.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

With the automatic backup (More → Automatic backup) there is always a current file in the folder you chose, for example in iCloud Drive. Install Toki on the new iPhone, then More → Restore backup and pick "Toki-Sicherung.json".

Can I bring my data over from myTime?

Yes. Create a backup in myTime, then More → Import myTime backup in Toki. Toki first shows the totals myTime shows as well, so you can compare.

What is a vacation day credit?

A whole extra vacation day for a specific day, for example for a weekend assignment. The day then counts as no overtime. Set it in the day under "Credit" or in the Vacation tab under "Review".
